Whipped Café Con Leche(Dalgona Coffee)

All the sweet memories of my abuela's special cup of café are all in that cup! All the traditional flavors with a whipped twist!

Equipment

  • Portable Milk Frother

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee nescafe
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 12 oz milk warmed

Instructions

  • On the back burner, heat 1 1/2 cups of milk until bubbles begin to form.
  • When milk is almost ready, whip the coffee with sugar, cinnamon and hot water.
  • In a large cup, add 1 tablespoon of instant coffee, 1 tablespoon sugar, pinch of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon hot water. Using the milk frother, whip the coffee for 1-2 minutes. It should look caramel in color and be very thick and glossy. Pour hot milk into cup. Gently stir. Garnish with ground cinnamon.

Notes

Cold water doesn't work as well, but still taste delicious!
