Coconut margarita made easy. Luckily, there are many brands producing flavored tequila these days. You could kick up this coconut margarita by shaking it up with a splash of coconut cream and coconut water. I kept it very simple this time. Several years back I collaborated with a popular tequila brand and fell in love with the paloma cocktail!

For a tall paloma, this is my version. 1 oz lime juice, 2 oz silver tequila, tajin, to taste, lots of ice, 4 oz grapefruit soda, 2 oz topo chico mineral water! You can add coarse salt or tajin to the rime of the glass before pouring in cocktail. To a shaker, add the lime juice, tequila and tajin. Shake and pour into prepared glass. Pour in soda and then top off with mineral water. Stir gently to combine. Enjoy!

Clamato Micheladas

Clamato Michelada

Let’s Get To The Recipe!!! Besides clamato or bloody mary mix to prepare delicious micheladas, try adding fresh blended agua fresca like pineapple or mango to prepare a fresh fruit michelada. It’s refreshing! Just remember to not add any extra sugar to the agua fresca.

CHAMOYADA!!

The fun cousin to the traditional michelada, a https://pinaenlacocina.com/chamoyada-michelada-with-chamoy/chamoyada! One thing I can say about Mexican recipes, is that we really love to layer on the flavors! Whether it’s traditional savory dishes or cocktails, it’s a tasty adventure every time! Chamoy is a cross between a salsa, a sauce and a condiment in a way. My homemade chamoy is a mix of dried hibiscus, fruit, like mango, pineapple or apricots and dried chiles. It great for the rim of Mexican cocktails, agua fresca, fresh fruit, tostilocos, chicharron preparado and more!

Vampiro!

This cocktail for vampiro reminds me so much of the holidays spent in Monterrey, Mexico! It was a festive time with my huge family and extended family that left the most beautiful memories. The recipe goes like this: 1/2 oz lime juice, pinch of salt, 1 oz silver tequila, 2 oz sangrita mix, ice, 2 dashes of tour favorite hot sauce, then top with grapefruit soda! You can add coarse salt to the rim of the glass.

Rick Bayless Michelada!

Yet another variation on preparing a tasty michelada. Years ago I began to follow the career of chef Rick Bayless. His attention to detail when it comes to Mexican gastronomy is amazing. Not only do his cookbooks give you delicious traditional Mexican dishes, but he shares the history of the food ingredients that he uses.
